Last night, the Gators took on the Tarriers down in the Kemper Gym. Charles Wright had been undefeated all season, and has a very strong team, just like the Gators. The game was extremely close. The tarriers started very strong and won the first two sets. The Gators came back the next two sets, both close! In the final set, the Gators won 15-13.

Some consider the Tarriers our rival, simply because of our history. Charles Wright used to be our pottery shed until it became its own boys’ school in 1957. Since then, there has been a lot of crossover between Annie Wright and Charles Wright. This only fueled the fire more.

The crowd was thrilled. Lots of people were at the game from both Charles Wright and Annie Wright. The Annie Wright girls led cheers, while the Charles Wright boys yelled some chants back. There was also a large group of teachers and their kids at the game. The Pinkout, the game’s breast cancer awareness theme, was also successful, and many girls enjoyed the free bright pink T-shirts. Final score: 22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 15-13.
