Ava Filiss will have the chance to move on to the state and national competitions after her performance at regionals.

Both Upper School for Girls and Upper School for Boys students gathered in the Kemper theater today to watch their peers recite two poems of choice for the school-wide Poetry Out Loud competition.

The winner of the competition is junior Ava Filiss and the runner up is freshman Monee Dubose. Filiss will compete at the POL Regional competition on Saturday, February 1st at Tacoma Little Theatre.
