Today marks the first ever Upper School for Girls lacrosse game. This year JV lacrosse was newly added as a spring sport coached by Assistant Athletic Director Holly Drown.

The Gators will face North Kitsap’s JV girls lacrosse team on the home James Memorial field today at 5:00 pm. The team has a full game schedule and plays their first away game this Wednesday, March 20, against Bishop Blanchett in Seattle.

The team has players from all grade levels. Annie Wright provided all the equipment necessary to play, including a lacrosse stick, mouth guard, uniform, and goggles.

Drown joined Annie Wright in 2017 and has extensive lacrosse experience. Drown played four years of NCAA lacrosse and earned her BA in sport management from University of Massachusetts. Prior to pioneering the lacrosse program at Annie Wright, Drown was head of the Lacrosse program at Lakeside School in Seattle, Washington.

UPDATE, March 20: The team beat North Kitsap 11-9.
