Today was devoted to travel: first a four-hour drive from Sapa to Hanoi’s No Bai International Airport and then an hour and a half flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The drive was only long and nothing else. We did stop at a rest stop very different from ones we find in America. Paying for bathrooms seems to be a normality here.

The flight to Siem Reap was short and uneventful. We got visas at the airport and were greeted by representatives from our hotel, who brought us decorative scarves and water bottles. It was a another exciting start to a different part of our adventure.
