Ninth graders climb, hike and bond on rock trip

The 9th grade returned on Wednesday from the annual rock trip to Frenchman Coulee in eastern Washington.

The trip started early Monday with about a three hour bus ride. Soon after setting up their tents and getting camp set up, the students prepared for the day’s adventures. They split up into three climbing and hiking groups that remained the same over the three days. Some groups took a short hike to a nearby waterfall the first day, while the other groups started off climbing.

The following day groups hiked and climbed, and a group of about 15 kids decided to participate in an optional night hike to go stargazing.
